We are looking for an energetic, tech-savvy Digital Merchandiser that is passionate about all things beauty.
Job Overview:
As a Digital Merchandiser at Cloud 10 Beauty, you will be responsible for creating and managing all product listings and brand rooms on our website. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our online store is visually appealing, accurate, and up-to-date, providing our customers with the best possible shopping experience. Reporting to the Beauty Buyer you will drive digital excellence across our strategic brand accounts and work with some of the biggest and best brands in the beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Management:
- Create, update, and manage product listings, ensuring all information (descriptions, prices, images, specifications) is accurate and optimized for excellent customer experience and SEO.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure timely addition of new products.
- Regularly review and update existing product listings for accuracy and relevancy.
Brand Rooms Management:
- Design and maintain brand-specific pages ("brand rooms") on our website, ensuring they reflect each brand's identity and showcase their products effectively.
- Collaborate with brand partners to obtain up-to-date content, images, and promotional materials.
- Monitor and update brand rooms to reflect the brand marketing plan, new launches and hero focuses.
Content Management:
- Work closely with the marketing team to integrate promotional content, banners, and seasonal campaigns across product listings and brand rooms.
- Ensure all content is in line with Cloud 10 Beauty's tone of voice and brand guidelines.
- Implement and manage SEO best practices across all product and brand pages to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
- Monitor and track SEO performance, conduct SEO audits, and adjust content strategies accordingly.
- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes to ensure Cloud 10 Beauty remains competitive in search engine rankings.
Technical Maintenance:
- Perform regular audits of the website to ensure there are no broken links, missing images, or outdated information.
- Liaise with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to product listings and brand rooms.
Customer Experience:
- Continuously improve the user experience on product and brand pages by implementing best practices in website design and functionality.
- Monitor customer feedback and website analytics to identify areas for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, Business, or a related field.
- Ecommerce trading experience
- SEO experience with strong knowledge of keyword research
- Highly organised
- Graphic design skills (Adobe Photoshop or similar)
- Passion for the beauty industry and knowledge of beauty products
- Ability to prioritise work & effectively manage time
- Analytical with high attention to detail
- Excellent communicator
- Commercial awareness of the beauty industry
- Critical thinker and problem-solver
- Strategic mindset: Combine operational and strategic thinking
- Competent with Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- A can-do attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the beauty or retail industry.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS.
- Knowledge of additional web development languages (JavaScript, PHP).
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles.
