Zelens Lip Treatment Oil is a supreme age-defying lip treatment packed with 6 youth-preserving plant oils. This ultra nourishing formula replenishes moisture to keep lips soft and supple, and helps to smooth and fill fine lines while improving texture, plumpness and shape.

Base: A blend of esters with emollient, moisturising and replenishing properties.

• Argan (Argania spinosa) oil: Rich in omega-3, argan oil helps restore moisture while demonstrating anti-inflammatory, healing and regenerative properties.
• Blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum) seed oil: Rich in vitamin C and omega-6, this oil shows moisturising, regenerative, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
• Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) seed oil: Rich in Vitamin E and phytosterols, the oil from the seeds of raspberry shows emollient, regenerative, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
• Cotton (Gossypium herbaceum) seed oil: Obtained by cold pressing the seeds from the cotton plant. Rich in linoleic acid (Omega-6), this moisturising plant oil shows restoring, regenerative and revitalising properties.
• Linseed (Linum usitatissimum) oil: Obtained from the seed of the linseed-flax plant. Rich in alpha-linolenic acid(Omega-3), this plant oil shows emollient, moisturising, refatting, conditioning and softening properties.
• Sunflower (Helianthus annus) oil: Obtained from the seeds of this plant is rich in linoleic acid (Omega-6). It demonstrates excellent moisturising, nourishing, protective and soothing properties. The extract of sunflower seeds is rich in vitamin E, and demonstrates protective and skin-conditioning properties.

Phospholipids: Major building components in the structure of cellular membranes. These natural, skin-identical ingredients demonstrate excellent moisturising, repairing and protective properties.

Squalane: Squalane, derived from olive oil, mimics natural skin lipids and thereby reinforces skin barrier, replenishes lipids, prevents moisture loss and restores skin's suppleness.

Lecithin: A vegetable-based phosphatidylcholine, a natural part of all cell membranes. Shows emollient, moisturising and smoothing properties.

Cocoglycerides: A blend of vegetable-derived triglycerides with excellent emollient, skin-conditioning and protective properties.

Wild mango (Irvingia gabonensis) butter: A butter derived from kernels of wild mango which contains a high content of C18 fatty acids (stearic and oleic acid). Mango butter exhibits excellent moisturizing and nourishing properties and restores skin suppleness and smoothness.

Murumuru (Astrocaryum murumuru) butter: A butter obtained from the fruit seeds of the spiny Murumuru palm, rich in provitamin A and omega-3, 6 and 9. Shows moisturising, restoring, softening and smoothing properties.

Blackjack (Bidens Pilosa): An extract from blackjack plant originating in South America, which enhances lip renewal through retinoid-like activity without any irritation.

Beta-Sitosterol: One of several phytosterols (plant sterols) similar to cholesterol which occurs naturally in skin. Acts as an emollient, anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing agent.

Squalene: Derived from olive oil. Provides a moisture barrier to protect the skin and shows excellent emollient and soothing properties.

Shiso (Perilla frutescens): Shiso, also known as Japanese mint, is a plant rich in polyphenols (particularly rosmarinic acid) and triterpenoids (particularly ursolic acid). We use an extract obtained from Shiso leaf which demonstrates excellent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-allergic properties. Shiso leaf has been used for years in Kampo medicine due to strong detox properties, and its ability to soothe sensitive skin and prevent skin reactivity. The oil extracted from the seeds of Shiso is the richest plant source of omega-3 fatty acids. It replenishes moisture, reinforces the skin’s natural barrier and shows strong restructuring, repairing, healing and soothing properties.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1: A peptide composed of 3 amino acids: glycine, histidine and lysine. Demonstrates restoring, restructuring and repairing properties.

Hyaluronic Acid: A full spectrum of different molecular weights (very low, low and medium) of pure hyaluronic acid working in synergy. Shows multiple activities: improves skin moisture, strengthens barrier function, helps to retain and maintain skin elasticity, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and restores skin suppleness.

Yeast: A filtrate of the lysate (the solution consisting of the material released from cell lysis; cellular disruption) obtained by the fermentation of yeast (Saccharomyces). Rich in amino acids, essential minerals, beta-glucan and vitamins. Possesses anti-inflammatory, revitalising and protective properties. Increases cell respiration and metabolism, stimulates oxygen consumption and enhances skin repair.

Glycine: An amino acid with multiple benefits: increases collagen production, promotes skin repair and regeneration and improves moisture retention.

Hydroxyproline: The main amino acid in skin collagen. Stimulates collagen production, increases skin firmness and elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Proline: An amino acid used as a building block in the production of proteins. Increases collagen production, improves skin elasticity and promotes skin repair and regeneration.

Ascorbyl Palmitate: An ester derivate of vitamin C with good antioxidant properties.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol): A naturally derived vitamin with powerful antioxidant and photoprotective properties. Tocopherol is an excellent moisturiser that helps to reduce water loss and strengthen the skin’s natural barrier.
